Proclamation from Chairman James B. Gibson

 I am incredibly honoured to let you all know that the Las Vegas Astronomical Association (LVAS) has been honoured with a proclamation from Chairman James B. Gibson of the Board of Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada. For our commitment to educating and enriching the community. Since 1980, LVAS has been dedicated to sharing our passion for astronomy and organizing engaging events like "Astronomy in the Park" at Wetlands Park. It's a privilege to see our efforts acknowledged, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a greater understanding and appreciation of the wonders of the night sky. 

I want to express my gratitude to every one of you for your contributions to the Las Vegas Astronomical Association. This recognition reflects our shared commitment to promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of the wonders of the night sky.

Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

I am skeptical about the idea of a heaven myself, I don´t care if it exists or not. But even if it does´t exist, I believe it should.
All those people doing their best to live, deserve something better than nothingness awaiting them. I prefer to think they get to live the good life in Heaven.

As the French Revolution unfolds and political tensions rise, the Count is faced with difficult choices that will test his principles and beliefs.

The novel explores themes of loyalty, honour, and the impact of historical events on individual lives. While "The Count of Chanteleine" is not as well-known as some of Verne's other works, it provides a fascinating glimpse into a turbulent period of French history and offers insight into the complexities of human nature during times of upheaval.
