Well, fellow of Cyberspace,, this new version of Ubuntu, is just to settle everything we've seen in the previous has no mentionable novelties to have not bought a new background preinstalled, but this is what Canonical, tells us for the new version:
At the graphics level a couple of tweaks here and there.
Kubuntu 14.10 brings Plasma 4.14 for downloading images:
Xubuntu 14.10, will use pkexec and we will stop using gksudo to run graphics applications that have root access from the terminal, this will help security.
We have all these programs up to date:
- LibreOffice 4.3.2.2
- Firefox 33
- Thunderbird 33
- Nautilus 3.10
- Evince 3.14
- Rhythmbox 3.0.3
- Unity 7.3.1
At the stability level, it is very good but I do not advise the change since we only have 9 months of support.
