Additional Information:

-I like how the writer tries to focus that science is the best tool for humans to find solutions to our problems.
-the Approach that gives war between religion and science.
-I do not like the idea of the beings of Jupiter's moon, it does not allow us to see the true Galileo and problems of their time, I understand why it has been since it allows you to explore the seventeenth century with modern thoughts.

Summary of the book:

The story begins in Venice in 1609, just before Galileo begins his research on how to improve the telescope. A man from the Netherlands, told Galileo; that in his country have discovered how to use lenses to thank the small view objects. Galileo discovered the potential of the telescope to the military in the defense because it allows you to see by boat or enemy troops advance. But as a good science continues to seek new applications to your telescope.
The mysterious character who will be over the life of Galileo, turns out to be from the future specifically the year 3020, also is not from the planet Earth, but one of the moons of Jupiter. Who you are suffering a major crisis and want the opinion of Galileo in her case.
The book, is also about the biography of Galileo (that does not mean to be reliable, it's an inspiration in his life and the trial by the Inquisition.)
The book tends to divide the life of Galileo in two, during the day he have to deal with archaic minds of the seventeenth century. And at night he have to deal with people who are unable to resolve their differences when they have more advanced technology.
